The Management of the West Africa Fashion Awards (WAFA), officially announces that Junda Morris-Kennedy the owner of Liberia Fashion Marketing and Fashion Awards Liberia, will head the WAFA nomination committee in Liberia, she will also co-ordinate and oversee nomination of Liberians for the west Africa fashion awards.
This exclusive partnership brings one of the best personality of this generation into our WAFA family.

The call for nomination for the west Africa fashion awards 2016 will open by May, selection and auditing will begin by June/July and names of the 2016 nominees will be unveiled by august 2015

Gathering of West Africa's Fashion Industry Policy Makers

The West African Fashion Awards (WAFA) holds in different cities in
western Africa each year. Its aim is to recognize, inspire and promote the
wealth of fashion talent within West Africa. The event provides a stepping
stone for emerging design talent into the highly competitive fashion arena
through networking, promotion and guidance.
The event will be held at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, in Victoria
Island, Lagos on Sunday March 22nd. This pioneering event will see the
Oriental Hotel, packed full with Celebrities from all works of life, the
catch of the night will be the crowning of the face of WAFA and numerous
designers that will be showcasing there design.
Attendees to the fashion night will include over 200 nominees,
celebrities, designers, models, comedians and musicians) to celebrate and
support the west African fashion awards.
The Fashion Recognition awards category is sponsored by PhotoNaija, and

West Africa Biggest Night

West Africa’s biggest night in fashion is finally here! And as expected, some of the most important names in style will take the red carpet in seriously chic attire.

Really, all eyes are on the 2014 West Africa Fashion awards to be hosted in Lagos at the Oriental Hotel on the 29th of March, 2015, the ceremony honors the most forward-thinking designers, models and plain ol’ good dressers who have made an impact across the pond.

The “West Africa Fashion award” is a ceremony to be held annually in the West Africa to showcase West African designers and present awards to those who have made the most outstanding contributions to the fashion industry during the year. The main awards include that of Menswear Designer, women’s wear Designer, Fashion Event of the year, Style award and Outstanding Contribution as well as awards to the ‘most-fashionable’ celebrities in various fields. The ceremony is organized by the Fashion Instinct and runs as part of West Africa Style Week each March.

In Lagos, March 22nd 2015. The crown of the face of West African fashion
award will be handed over to one out of the 20 delegates who would compete
for this year’s title – Face of West African fashion award. This yearly
cultural event will showcase the talents, wits, beauty, zeal and
compassion of delegates from various parts of West Africa in Nigeria.

The first phase of the contest is the voting phase, voting will be done
for delegates and the delegate with the highest number of votes
automatically has an edge over others. The second and last phase will be
done on the final day at the West African fashion award, there will be
fashion exhibitions of all kinds done by the delegates and the best of all
judging from style, charisma, looks etc will be crowned the face of WAFA
2015.

The winner will stand a chance to win: a year modeling contract, a year
wardrobe clothing, chance walk at international fashion shows and at
WAFA’s, appearance on all WAFA materials in all West African countries,
become a red carpet host on fashion Uncut TV.

We are very happy to host and showcase a cultural event of this nature in
Lagos Nigeria. This is the first of its kind and we trust it will be a
great success. We have a plethora of highly qualified candidates competing
at this event, and every single one of them embodies the core values of
West Africa.
